Introduction to Graphic Design Film / Video Editing
Curriculum Description
New, in-person offering to all high school students. Students may register for either of these double block, semester-long honors courses. Students must take level I and II consecutively.
Adobe Visual Design I & II Honors- Introduction to Graphic Design. Students become proficient in the use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign as they apply graphic design principles to various projects. Students will sit for the Adobe Certified Professional Exams in each of the softwares.
Adobe Visual Design pairs well with Visual Art courses, and is beneficial to students seeking careers in art, advertising, animation, marketing, etc.
Adobe Video Design I & II Honors- Video / Film Editing. Students become proficient in t The use of Adobe Premiere Pro for film editing & After Effects for special effects / animated graphics. Using professional footage, students will learn the technical and artistic aspects to proper film / tv / video editing. Students will sit for the Adobe Certified Professional Exams in each of the softwares.
Adobe Video Design pairs well with Digital Filmmaking, TV Studio Production, and / or Audio Production and is beneficial to students seeking careers in film, TV, social media marketing, advertising, journalism, acting, etc.
There are no prerequites for either of these courses, however, it is recommended to have a strong understanding of Adobe Photoshop to apply in Adobe Video.
Adobe Visual Design I & Adobe Video Design I fulfill the Computer Science graduation requirement.
