NORTHEAST GEORGIA WOMEN’S
GOLF ASSOCIATION
Gena Cauthen received a nice surprise recently when
she was informed that the results initially posted for
play at Innsbruck in July were corrected and that she
had actually won first low net in the 5th flight on that
play day back in July. Congratulations, Gena.
The NEGWGA Championship was held at Royal
Lakes on October 8 & 9. Ruth Roosenberg, Annette
Holland and Kaye Lewis represented Cateechee at
this year-end event. Kaye won first low net in the 2nd
flight, so we congratulate Kaye on her win too.
Ruth Roosenberg retired as President of the
association at the annual meeting during the
championship. We thank Ruth for her leadership
during this past year and congratulate her on a great
season.
CLGA HOLIDAY LUNCHEON
Our annual Holiday Luncheon will be held on
December 11 at noon in the ballroom. At the
luncheon we will honor all of our winners for the
year, as well as celebrate our tenth successful year as
the CLGA.
Another year is
coming to an end and
I’m amazed at how
quickly time passes.
Maybe it will seem to
slow down during the
late fall and holiday
seasons. It gets dark
earlier, which may mean more time with
family and friends. It’s a great time to play
golf and the course is in great condition.
Many of you are hosting or will be
attending Christmas parties at Cateechee.
Our goal is to price as competitively as
possible, so you will want to have your
events at your club.
You certainly will want to attend the
Cateechee Member-Only Christmas
Social on Sunday, December 1st and the
annual member’s night at the pro shop on
Thursday, December 5th. You will receive
great discounts on golf merchandise, along
with complimentary wine and cheese.
I feel like I have already opened my
Christmas present. The opportunity to
serve as your general manager in 2013
was more rewarding than I could have
imagined and I am looking forward to
2014. Have a Merry Christmas and safe
holiday season.
See you at the Club!
