2014 TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Ms. Betty Cup
The second annual Ms Betty Cup will be played on
April 9. It is a match play event comprised of two
teams and played in honor of Betty Barker, a CLGA
charter member.
Rally for the Cure
Our annual Rally for the Cure will be held on May
21. The Rally for the Cure is a grassroots program
that works to spread awareness about breast health
and breast cancer in support of Susan G. Komen.
The event is open to any player, male or female, who
wishes to support this very worthy cause. Create
your own team and come out in support of our fight
against breast cancer. More information will be in
the next issue and a sign up sheet will be posted in
the Pro Shop.
Red, White & Blue
We will host our ninth annual Red, White & Blue
Tournament on June 12. In past years, the field has
been comprised of teams represented over a dozen
clubs in north George and South Carolina. We are
looking forward to another fantastic, full field event
this year. The format and more information will be
in the next issue.
Punkin Open
This is a two-person member team event in which
teams are paired by handicaps. This event gives all
of our CLGA members, both 18 and 9-hole players,
a chance to play together. We will have a day of fun,
crazy golf and celebrate heartily. We will be playing
on October 22.
New Events
We are working on a couple of new events for this
year , including an individual match play tournament
which will be played over weeks at the beginning of
our season as well as a Moonlight Madness event
open to anyone. The Moonlight Madness will be
played with glow balls on a night with a good, full
moon. More information on this event will be
coming soon.
CHICKS & CROWS
We have some really fun times at our events where
teams are created of our chicks and their crows.
