What is a Watershed?

A watershed is an area of land that collects, stores and releases water to rivers, streams, aquifers and eventually, the sea. ' Catch & Release'

The project aims to improve the conservation and management of biodiversity and lands within the Yallahs and Hope River Watershed Management areas by implementing sustainable agriculture and land management practices within targeted communities.

June 7, in partnership with the Jamaica National Heritage Trust, 4 trees were also donated and planted at Fort Charles in Port Royal to mark the 325th anniversary of the 1692 earthquake.

Jamaica's Million Tree Challenge is aimed at improving the island's natural biodiversity, green coverage and our overall resilience to climate change.
