For years, the Indy Chamber has been in the business of supporting business. In 2001, our merger with Business Ownership Initiative (BOI), Develop Indy and Indy Partnership, served only to strengthen our efforts to provide vital resources to our ever-growing business community.
Now, under one umbrella organization, the Indy Chamber serves as the business community’s lead advocate, resource for companies looking to locate to the Indy region, a connection for businesses interested in growing in Indianapolis and a resource for small business entrepreneurs who need assistance with business planning, permitting, microlending and more.
In the last year alone, our entrepreneur services team served nearly 850 small business clients through one-on-one business coaching, microlending and educational workshops. Now, we are excited about the recent expansion of this toolkit with the addition of the Central Indiana Small Business Development Center (C-ISBDC).
In June of this year, we joined Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann in announcing that the Indy Chamber will be the new host organization for the C-ISBDC. This partnership essentially consolidated regional small business resources in an effort to better serve our region’s entrepreneurs.
