D Catalyst | Dexterity quisition, CPA Global The Hive enabled us to peel back some of the complexities of each tech solution and hone in on the key differentiators and unique features of each solution, to identify the one that would best suit our new platform. We found the solutions to be uncomplicated and effective – mirroring one of our company’s key values: ‘Keep it simple’.  Under the guidance of Pag Miles, global head of partnerships at Alexander Mann Solutions, we attended a number of events where “Much has been written about candidate experience, but what makes it possible to create a better experience is the ability to listen” partners within The Hive demonstrated their specific capabilities. There was no hard sell and, in the end, we opted to push ahead with one solution, ‘Qlearsite’, which became our new holistic global  engagement platform. I am delighted to report that we have developed a fantastic partnership with Qlearsite, which understands our unique needs and partners with us to ensure these are met in a straightforward and user-friendly way for our people and teams. our organisational fitness survey to map employee engagement across 17 different countries. As this is a short survey, response rates significantly improved meaning we got rich insight from more people on our core 16 questions that predict future performance. The rich data has helped highlight shared cultural values, key engagement strengths and some opportunities – a map for change at both the local and global level.    Q What are the top trends for talent- acquisition professionals in the next five years? We think there are two big trends that will have an impact – listening and inclusion. A lot has been written about candidate experience, but what makes it possible to create a better experience is the ability to listen. We don’t mean a questionnaire, we mean rich, contextual feedback on what it feels like to be a candidate. Inclusion is another real challenge that needs to be addressed. Anyone hiring for ‘cultural fit’ or using tight ‘selection criteria’ need to accept this will exclude a lot of people. Getting your recruitment strategy aligned to your approach to inclusion is a big but critical challenge.   For further information, visit alexandermannsolutions.com/the-hive Issue 4 - 2020 47
