GENERAL REQUIREMENTS STANDARD: EN ISO 20344:2021
This is the European standard which specifies the test methods and general requirements for footwear designed as personal protective equipment.
SPECIFIC STANDARDS EN ISO 20345:2022
Specifies the basic and the additional( optional) requirements for general purpose safety footwear. T h e toe cap must withstand impact up to 200 J and crushing up to 15 kN.
EN ISO 20346:2022
Specifies the basic and the additional( optional) requirements for general purpose protective footwear. T h e toe cap must withstand impact up to 100 J and crushing up to 10 kN.
EN ISO 20347:2022
Specifies the basic and the additional( optional) requirements for occupational footwear for general use.
IEC / EN 61340-5-1:2016
This standard describes a test method for determining the electrical resistance of footwear; specifies the requirements for electrostatics and deals with the protection of electronic devices from electrostatic phenomena. A build-up of electrostatic discharge( ESD) can damage sensitive electronic components or cause fire hazards when handling solvents and other flammable materials. Items certified for use in ESD areas are made of materials that prevent the build-up of electrostatic charges, allowing them to dissipate to ground.
