CART IER
FOREWORD
he Cartier Queen’s Cup is
one of the most famous
polo tournaments in the
world. The combination of
the sport’s leading players, paired with
some of the game’s best equine athletes,
is a guaranteed recipe for success. This
year’s competition has been especially
impressive, with all 12 teams producing
some thrilling sport from those very
first matches in mid-May.
I loved watching the games live at
Guards Polo Club or when not possible,
the livestream. I am in awe of the
dedication and focus of not only the
teams, but also the behind-the-scene
staff. Polo is so much more than the
four players on the field of play and I
salute the all for their commitment to
this great game.
Of course, these teams’ values of
passion and commitment are replicated
perfectly with Cartier’s own core
values. We are hugely proud of our long
standing relationship with this iconic

English polo event. Cartier has been
a sponsor of polo at Guards Polo Club
for 32 years – for the past four years
supporting the 22-goal Cartier Queen’s
Cup – and we remain deeply committed
to both the Club and the game.
Since first attending the Cartier
Queen’s Cup as Managing Director of
Cartier UK I have been looking at new
ways for the Cartier maison to expand
its relationship with the high-goal
teams. By supporting the top level of
the game we can be part of the global
sporting community, ensuring that the
game has the foundation to grow across
all levels.
I hope that you enjoy these final
matches in this year’s Cartier Queen’s
Cup 2016 and may I wish all the teams
and their connections the very best
of luck.
