Karissa loves TCR and has performed in Meet Me in St . Louis ( Esther ), Cabaret ( Frenchie ), A Little Night Music ( Mrs . Anderssen ) ( Brucemore ), and was a Featured Dancer / Ensemble / Dance Captain in The Light in the Piazza , Something Rotten !, Wizard of Oz , Mamma Mia , Cinderella , and SpongeBob ; Catch Me If You Can , Legally Blonde , Camelot , Beauty and The Beast , Newsies with City Circle ; HONK ! ( Bewick / Winter Soloist ) with Revival Theatre ; Il Matrimonio Segreto ( Elisetta ) and HMS Pinafore with UI Opera ; Sound of Music ( Maria ), Sweeny Todd ( Johanna ), She Kills Monsters ( Agnes ) with Theatre West ; and Amahl and the Night Visitors ( Amahl ), Persuasion ( Cassandra ) with Chamber Opera Chicago . Karissa is majoring in vocal performance , theatre , and dance at UIowa and choreographs in the area . Miguel Davidson ( George ) Miguel is thrilled to be back on the main stage of Theater Cedar Rapids , where he has been doing theater since 2016 ! He has been in a variety of different shows like Mamma Mia , Cinderella , The Rocky Horror Picture Show , Something Rotten !, and many others alike . Outside of the theater Miguel is a dental technician by day , and a backup dancer for several different artist by night . Miguel would like to take this time to thank his supporters , friends , family , and all .
Seth Engen ( Freddy ) Nine years ago , Seth endured his high school prom , and just barely survived . Now , he is forced to relive the trauma in Carrie : The Musical . Truly , this is a horror experience like no other . Seth has had roles in other TCR shows that were thankfully prom-free , such as an Kinky Boots ( Angel ), The SpongeBob SquarePants Musical ( The French Narrator ), and Clue ( Mr . Green ). Seth would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the TCR donors who donate their time , money , and in this case , blood to the arts . We couldn ' t have put on this show without you .
Katelyn Halverson ( Carrie White ) This is Katelyn ’ s fourth TCR production and she could not be more excited to take on such a dynamic role ! She has previously worked with City Circle Theatre Company , Theatre Cedar Rapids , and other community theaters . Some past shows include Waitress ( Ensemble ), Spring Awakening ( Wendla ), Something Rotten ! ( Portia ), The Fantasticks ( Luisa ), Elf : The Musical ( Jovie ), Mamma Mia ! ( Ali ), and Legally Blonde ( Elle Woods ). During the day , she works in childcare . Aside from performing , she loves cats , reading , and being outside .
