fully automated appointment
confirmation technology, along
with marketing tools to ensure
a steady patient inflow. Established in 2011, and aligned
with NeoDeck Holdings in
2013, it recognized a need in
the local market for a sophisticated system that would help
providers effectively manage
large numbers of patient appointments, while eliminating
stress for physicians and patients alike. Launching a beta
version with five doctors, it
conducted a three-month free
trial, with a monthly fee offered
at the end of the trial period.
All of the doctors were enormously impressed, and continued to subscribe. Today, we
have more than 100 doctors
and healthcare practitioners
using its services.
CitaMed’s success is the result of a number of factors,
including flexibility, which allows the service to be tailored
to the specific needs of each
provider’s practice or operations environment. For example, dentists frequently use its
system as a marketing tool to
send a friendly reminder to
patients who have not visited
their office in more than six
months. Pediatricians call forgetful parents to remind them
of their child’s next vaccine,
with hospitals even using the
system to make collection calls.
CitaMed also prides itself in
our outstanding customer support. Its Support Center is ready
at any time to assist its clients
with any of the system’s features or provide guidance on
the different ways CitaMed can
be used to improve operations.
Its goal is to have 10,000 doctors and healthcare facilities
using our system by the end of
2017. To accomplish this, it is
currently looking for ways to
expand to the U.S. market, and
has already taken steps to work
with various EHR (electronic
health record) companies to
license its software through its
DocAlerts brand.
CitaMed
is also working on developing technology to be compatible with various mobile devices so users and patients can
book, cancel and postpone
appointments while on the go.

hour. By integrating a healthcare provider’s electronic calendar and uploading a patient’s
name, phone, and appointment date and time to a secure
server, the CitaMed system will
call patients to remind them
of their appointments, then request a confirmation using the
phone’s keypad. Patients can
also be notified using email
and text messages as well. This
in turn ensures a steady flow of
patients, eliminates the need
for double booking and promotes more efficient scheduling. Patients also appreciate the
