Sister Mary Williams, CSJ, a
longtime faculty member at Mount
St. Mary’s College, has just published
a new book about the Sisters of St.
Joseph in the West. All Things New
shares the history of the Los Angeles
Province from 1870 to today. The
story starts when the Sisters arrived
in Tucson in covered wagons to
minister to Native Americans in the
desert. The book traces their move
to California and the founding of
hospitals and schools, including
Carondelet High School.
