2017 Lotus Evora GT430: Most powerful road-going Lotus revealed
Lotus Cars Australia recently unveiled its latest Evora GT430 and it is said to be the company’s fastest and most powerful road-going car introduced thus far. The Evora GT430 comes with features like a retuned 3.5-litre supercharged V6 developing 321kW of power or 430 horsepower, revised braking setup with four-piston AP Racing calipers, and an updated torque of 440Nm.
In comparison to the Evora Sport 410, the Evora GT430 is designed to be much lighter with the use of carbon fiber,10kg lighter titanium exhaust, lightweight Eibach springs, a thinner under tray to be 1258kg, down 26kg from the Evora Sport 410. The car rides on 19-inch forged alloy wheels at the front, and 20-inch rims at the rear, with its wheels fitted with 245/35 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, while the rear wheels feature 295/30 rubber.
2017 Lotus Evora GT430 will have a six-speed manual and a Torsen-style limited differential, and, and its top speed is 190 miles per hour.
Evora GT430 also redesigned its aerodynamics with a carbon-fibre front splitter, enlarged and reshaped front air intakes, louvres above the front wheels, new ducts behind both sets of wheels, and a large carbon-fibre rear wing. The option list includes carbon-fibre backed Sparco seats, four-point harnesses, and a touchscreen infotainment system.
Only 60 Evora GT430s is said to be built, at a base price of 112,500 pounds (VAT included).
