Commando Challenge Supercross Concludes With a Few Impressive Records
The Commando Challenge Supercross 2018 of the Commando Regiment, which was held on 5th August at Kuda Oya concluded with riders and drivers of the SL military setting a few notable records under their names.
The challenge was comprised of 10 motorbike events and 12 racing car events that tested the talents and endurance of some of the finest riders and drivers of Sri Lanka.
This year’s event was organised by the Commando Regiment, in collaboration with CEAT Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR), whose supervision helped to make the event a success.
Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, attended as the Chief Guest of the event at the request of the Colonel of the Commando Regiment, Major General Ralf Nugera.
The Lieutenant witnessed a number of racing events, encourage the riders and drivers to push to their limits and awarded trophies and cash gifts as prizes to the winners, including those who won the events that were designed for the youngsters.
