Toyota Lanka awarded Outstanding Customer Service Leadership Award by Toyota Motor Corporation

Receiving an award for the best customer service is one of the best appreciations a company can obtain. The global brands’ sole authorized distributor for Sri Lanka, Toyota Lanka Ltd, was presented with the first-ever Outstanding Customer Service Leadership Award.

This award was based on the Customer Service Excellence award criteria followed by the brands’ headquarters, Toyota Motor Corporation (Japan). The award acclaims Toyota Lanka Ltd. to be the very first company to receive a Customer Service Leadership award due to its five consecutive achievements of the Outstanding Customer Service award. In order to make sure the award is provided for the earnest distributor, several sectors of the operations in Sri Lanka were evaluated such as the parts supply operation enhancement, value chain enhancement, technical service skills, customer service improvements and operations kaizen enhancements.

The evaluation of the local distributor was carried out by a group of elite specialists with an objective to provide the award and maintain strong relationships with its dealers globally which in return creates a ripple effect of maintaining standards with its customer service.

The award was presented by Toyota Motor Corporation General Manager Yoshitaka Nakamura, Senior Managing Officer of Toyota Motor Corporation Kazuhirio Sato, Executive Vice-President Toyota Motors Asia Pacific Mahesh Salkar, General Manager Toyota Tsusho Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. Yasuhiro Miura and Group Leader Toyota Tsusho Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. Toshiki Hirianoat at a recently held awards ceremony at Cinnamon Grand Colombo.

Taking into consideration the five consecutive gold awards, the Outstanding Customer Service Leadership Award is a significant milestone in Toyota Lanka and Toyota Tsusho Corporation history.
