DANNY STANDING WINTERBOURNE OPERA LE DANCAÏRE Sussex born Baritone, Danny Standing, is currently studying on the Masters Programme at The Royal Academy of Music, under the tutelage of Glenville Hargreaves and Iain Ledingham. Danny has previously sung the roles Sid - Albert Herring (TCM), Harry Easter - Street Scene, Dave - A Hand of Bridge, Ben - The Telephone, Mercury -Judgement of Paris by John Eccles (Chilmark Opera), Death - Savitri, and Chorus in Lucia di Lammermoor, Les Pecheurs de perles and La Rondine (OHP), Béatrice et Bénédict (RAM), Eugine Onegin (RAM), The Rake’s Progress (TCM), Les Dialogues des Carmelites (TCM). Concert engagements have included all the standard repertoire, as well as soloist in Handel’s The Triumph of Time and Truth (Paul Goodwin, Greenwich International Early Music Festival) and Szymanowski’s Stabat Mater (Rafal Delekta,K12 Copernicus Music Festiva), and Walton’s Façade: An Entertainment. Future projects include the title role in Wild Edric (A new opera by Louis Mander) for Chilmark Opera, and a continued work with the London Contemporary Chamber Orchestra Danny is grateful for the support provided by The Kathleen Tru
