HEATHER LUPTON ROBERT CLARK LUKE SINCLAIR Heather was born in Sydney where she learnt piano from an early age. She studied music at University of Western Sydney where she majored in composition as well as receiving private vocal tuition. She moved to Manchester in 2007 to pursue postgraduate vocal studies at the Royal Northern College of Music where she studied with David Maxwell Anderson and Debbie Rees. During her time there she studied and performed, roles such as Maman in L’enfant et les Sortilèges, The Prioress in Dialogue of the Carmelites, Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Feodor Boris Godunov and Mistress Quickly in Falstaff. Since leaving college she has performed a variety of roles including Nicklaus in The Tales of Hoffman, Ulrica in A Masked Ball and Maddalena in Rigoletto. Most recently she has performed the role of Smeton in Anna Bolena and Orfeo in Orfeo ed Euridice. Robert began singing whilst at Wells Cathedral school. After a gap year spent furthering his singing development with the baritone Gavin Carr, he began his training at the Guildhall school of Music and Drama. During his first two years of study, Robert appeared as a soloist with a number of choral societies, performing works by Gabrielli, Purcell, Bach, Handel, Haydn, Faure, Durufle and Goodall. He also sang the role of Peter and was a member of the 16-strong chorus in Jonathan Miller’s production of Bach’s Matthew Passion at the National Theatre. Robert is currently taking a year out where he continues to perform as a soloist with various choral societies as well as singing with the Old Royal Naval Chapel, Greenwich. He will recommence his training at the Guildhall from September 2013 where he will continue to study with the renowned counter tenor Andrew Watts. Luke grew up in Oxfordshire and graduated with a history degree from Bristol University in 2010. He now studies on the Masters Vocal Performance course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under the tutelage of Scott Johnson, where he is generously supported by the Sir Richard Stapley Trust. He will continue his training at the Alexander Gibson Opera School at the RCS later this year. Luke has been engaged as a soloist in a number of oratorio works including Rossini’s Stabat Mater at Ayr Town Hall, Goodall’s Requiem and Haydn’s The Seven Last Words of Christ at the Portaferry Proms, Mendelssohn’s Elijah at St. George’s Bristol, Mozart’s Requiem at St. John’s Tisbury and with Greenock Philharmonic and Handel’s Messiah at Perth Cathedral. Operatic roles include Don Jose Carmen and Des Grieux Manon (RCS Scenes), Lucano Poppea and 1st Priest Die Zauberflöte and Pedro Betrothal in a Monastery (RCS), Lysander/Snout A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Co-opera Co), Damon Acis and Galatea and Don Basilio/Don Curzio The Marriage of Figaro (Winterbourne Opera) and Don Ottavio Don Giovanni (Bristol Operatic Society).
