Dana’s screenwriting studies began at the New York Film Academy, and then a
Bachelor's degree from the New School University in Media Studies/Screenwriting
where she entered the Sundance Screenwriters Lab and was a finalist in the
competition two-consecutive years. She was a script reader for Maisha Film Lab,
operated by filmmaker Mira Nair (Queen of Katwe), and co-host of MTV’s “Your
Movie Show” as a film reviewer. Founder/CEO of 3CK MEDIA, which focuses on
digital content, Dana is in development with several feature film projects that
include a sci-fi entitled “First II, Last II” which is about the last two black people on
the planet. She is also in development for “The 80 lb. Gorilla”, which discusses the
emotional upheavals facing black women. Verde is Director and Editor of the mini-
documentary “CaribME: New Yorkers of the Caribbean Diaspora.”
