Caribbean-American award-winning Writer/Producer/Director/Editor and
Entrepreneur Dana Verde, enjoy telling universal stories from a
multicultural/national lens. A Master’s graduate degree in Filmmaking from the
prestigious London Film School, United Kingdom, Verde’s award-winning short films,
“In Black & White,” “After,” and “Lock and Key” were screened in 9 film festivals
internationally. “Lock and Key” was acquired by Aspire cable channel while her
2016 written romantic comedy, “The Perfect Match” opened in 925 theaters and
debuted number six nationally. Her 2014 featured directorial debut “Grand Gesture”
was a guerilla-style film that was made on a shoestring budget of $10k in three cities
(New York, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles). The film was nominated Best Feature Film
in 2014 at the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival and Best in Series at
the Black Harvest Film Festival. Grand Gesture was also featured in 2015 at the
CaribbeanLens Festival that garnered Dana the 2016 Rising Sun Award from the
Caribbean Heritage Awards.
