On campus or online, Eastern Florida State College offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs that can prepare you for a career or get you ready to move on to a Bachelor’ s degree program here at EFSC or at a university.
ASSOCIATE IN ARTS( A. A.) DEGREE
An Associate in Arts( A. A.) degree is a two-year undergraduate degree that provides a broad foundation in liberal arts and sciences, often serving as a stepping stone to a bachelor’ s degree. It’ s designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor’ s degree.
ASSOCIATE IN SCIENCE( A. S.) DEGREES AT EFSC
The Associate in Science( A. S.) degree is the two-year career education degree offered by Florida colleges primarily to prepare students for direct entry into the workforce. A. S. degrees will articulate to Eastern Florida State College’ s bachelor degree programs and also transfer to Florida colleges; making it possible for A. S. degree students to complete a bachelor’ s degree.
CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS AT EFSC
Eastern Florida State College offers a variety of certificate programs that prepare graduates for the workplace or to build toward an associate degree.

College Credit Certificates( CCC):
The College Credit Certificate( CCC) is a series of college-credit courses that prepares students for entry-level employment in specific career fields or for career advancement. All CCC’ s apply towards an EFSC A. S. Degree.
Career and Technical Certificates( CTC):
Career and Technical Certificate or CTC programs consist of a series of vocational and / or college credit courses that prepare students for entry-level employment in specific career fields— sometimes in as little as one term.
Advanced Technical Certificates( ATC):
Advanced Technical Certificates are designed for students who have already received an Associate in Science or an Associate in Applied Science degree and are seeking an advanced, specialized program of instruction in a particular career field to supplement their degree. Eastern Florida State College offers ATC in a few limited career areas in which advanced training beyond the associate degree level is needed.
Applied Technology Diploma( ATD):
The Applied Technology Diploma can be part of an Associate in Science degree and earning the certificate can lead to employment in a specific occupation.
