WHAT IS IT?
EFSC’ s Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration program, also known as HVAC / R, is a 1,350-clock-hour program designed to train students in the skills necessary to obtain employment in installation, service, and repair by mechanical and refrigeration contractors, dealers, and related commercial businesses.
Graduates of the program follow an HVAC curriculum that prepares them for positions and are eligible to take the EPA certification exam. This is a full-time program that takes about one year to complete, with the cohorts starting in both August( Cocoa Campus) and January( Palm Bay Campus) each year.
Note: The HVAC / R program is a limited-access program. A specialized application process is required.
