AEROSPACE TECHNOLOGY A. S. DEGREE

WHAT IS IT?

The Aerospace Technology Associate in Science degree is a two-year program with two embedded workforce certificate programs that prepares graduates for entry-level positions in the aerospace and aeronautics industry. Graduates also will qualify for many applied technology jobs such as testing, fabrication, assembly, repair, and manufacturing.
Students will learn basic soldering skills, wire wrapping, potting, crimping, cabled lacing and repair, troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical circuits, and how to assemble, operate, inspect and test fluid systems.
Program participants also will learn advanced concepts and skills allowing them to create a structural fabrication project per drawings and specifications, demonstrate knowledge of specialized tools and devices, accurately read blueprints, understand geometric dimensioning and tolerances, as well as identify precision measuring and test equipment.
