The Boston College Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program cultivates students’ analytical abilities and promotes
an in-depth understanding of the role of accounting in the world at large. The BC MSA prepares you to excel in the pursuit of your CPA, and provides a strong foundation for a thriving career.
The BC MSA program offers a flexible curriculum for both undergraduate accounting and non-accounting majors. Our
students’ performance on the CPA exams consistently places Boston College among the top large-program institutions.
Successful candidates for admission to the MSA program will have strong academic records, and high aptitude for success in the challenging accounting profession. Prior experience through internships is encouraged, though not required.
While there are no minimum requirements to apply, the average GPA for an admitted MSA student is 3.5, and the average GMAT is 690.
As a BC MSA student, you benefit from small classes and remarkable access to the finest teachers and researchers in the
world. You also work closely with a career adviser and take advantage of the extensive BC alumni network in pursuit of
your desired position following completion of the program. Typically, successful BC MSA students go on to start career
with prominent accounting firms, such as the Big 4 – Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
