TYPES OF INTERVIEWS

One-on-one
This is where one person interviews another. It is the most common type.
Sequential
This is where an interviewee is asked to come back for a second, third, etc. interview until a decision is made. It is also called a“ callback.” They can be one-to-one-, panel-, or even multiple-style types of interviews.
Multiple
Multiple is usually an interview with one person, followed by a second person, then a third, etc. Generally, they take place on the same day but could also be sequential. This type may be used if managers cannot meet at the same time or to test the interviewee. The interviewers compare notes and make their decision that way.
Panel
A panel interview is when more than one person conducts an interview at the same time. They may have their own special questions or take turns asking preset questions. Panel interviews may also be done as a sequential interview after a oneon-one or vice versa.
Group
In this style, a group of job candidates is interviewed together. This gives the interviewer an opportunity to see how individuals interact with others. It may be used as a screening process.
