Hopefully, the video we created in April provided a good update on the project. In this issue I will cover a number of points that I think are very important to the Foundation and that our supporters will find interesting. Cararoo Foundation Project Video: As the Foundation grows and more people are seeking information on exactly what we do, we felt it important to introduce you to our Cararoo family and give you some insight into what a “squatter village” looks like. We have had a wonderful, positive response. Please view the video on YouTube or email me if you would like a CD version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlwrFlFggFg (cont. on Page 8) ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. Organisations such as Shelter Box also receive a donation. www.shelterboxaustralia.com.au These International evenings have raised over $25,000 in the last 4 years, with a substantial percentage of this being given to Cararoo for flood relief, sponsorship of 2 children, Christmas parties, and this year, support for our dental program, which was also supported by Rotary District and Rotary International by way of a matching grant. We thank RCNT members for their support, as well as Rotary Australia World Community Services (RAWCS), who manages our Australian donations and transfer of funds between Australia and the Philippines, thus making our supporters very comfortable in the knowledge that all Cararoo funds are being well managed. Cararoo now have 120 children being sponsored to school. We urge you to become a sponsor—contact Maurie Or Arlene. Page 1 of 8
