LIMITED PERFORMANCE PROGRAM Do you have what appears to be a purebred dog that would be recognized by the ADBA but you don’t have the pedigree to verify it? The ADBA Limited Performance Program may be perfect for you! LPP is for altered, purebred but unregistered dogs. This is a great opportunity for your dog to have a chance to compete in ADBA sanctioned performance events (Weight Pull and Top Dog Athletic Events) hosted by ADBA sanctioned clubs. LPP dogs that compete and place at ADBA sanctioned weight pull and Top Dog events can earn points toward weight pulling Ace and Top Dog titles of excellence. It’s also a great way to get out and enjoy your family while spending quality time with your dog! This convenient LPP ID card fits in your wallet and is included in the price of registration! How to Apply for Limited Performance Program Status 1. Complete a Limited Performance Program application (available on our website www.adbadog.com) 2. Enclose two color photos of your dog - one photo showing the dog from the side in a standing position and one photo showing a full view of the dog from the front (standing). Photo must show the entire head and feet of the dog. A photo will be used for the ID card, so send the highest quality photo possible. 3. Include a spayed or neutered verification from a veterinarian or adoption facility. (The ADBA office reserves the right to validate verification.) There is a $30.00 application fee that can be paid by check, money order, or a credit/debit card. Mail application, photos and payment to: American Dog Breeders Association Inc. P.O. Box 1771 Salt Lake City, Utah 84110 After review of your application, if your dog is deemed to be ineligible for LPP status the $30.00 fee will be returned, minus a $5.00 processing and handling fee. LPP listing is NOT to be viewed as an alternate form of registration. LPP listing is to certify purebred status as is reasonably possible using visual inspection for the purpose of entering ADBA sanctioned performance events (weight pull and Top Dog) and to achieve points toward titles of excellence. The American Dog Breeders Association Inc. reserves the right to void a dog’s LPP status at any time for any cause. LPP dogs are not eligible to compete in any sanctioned conformation events. 29
