Popular Working Pit Bulldog Bloodlines
The dog featured, along with the dogs in the pedigree, are some of the more popular
dogs in the pedigrees of the breed today.
Landers” Boogey Man”
“Boogey Man” was a pup we got from Southern California.
He was a big pup from the “get go”. As we had larger American
Bulldogs we knew it would take him a bit to grow into himself. We
trained him from a pup and he eventually was one, if not the TOP
“heavy weight” weight pulling dogs in the world.
After we proved him, we made a conscious effort to use him as
a producer.
We had bred his genetic sister to another larger male from the
Camelot line, “Duke”. We liked what we were seeing so we line-
bred back to uncle Boogey.
Even taking some of these pups back to their mothers brothers.
Then using Boogey again!! “Bred Tight bred right” One of these
male pups was of course, the “Crowbar” dog. Our whole goal was
to “tighten” up some structural flaws we were seeing in some of
these other “BIG” dogs. WHICH we did !!
In all of our breedings with Boog’s, our greatest was the out cross
to MGK’s Jumbo Shrimp. She was down from a total performance
line and was as hard as WOODPECKER lips. She is also one of the
best 60lbs pull dogs to ever wear a harness. As a “QUEEN” on the
yard she possessed all the traits that made her a “DIVA” BUT she
loved Boogey. They were bred one time. She whelped 6 pups but
only ONE little runt pup made it! MGK’s “ACE” TIGER WOULD”.
Thanks for the memories .
