victories in war. He was one of
the best with military affairs at
the time and was elected as
commander in chief. He retired
from presidency after eight years
in office, but he dominated the nation for as long as 25 years. He was later called back, by John Adams, to command
the army when the Quasi war broke out.
He was said to have been better
remembered for his military than his
political contributions. George
Washington is placed second mainly
due to the reason that he did not
contribute politically. He was
mainly known for his great fighting strategies and military. He began shaping America, but he still had a lot more to do than fight wars.

1. Abraham Lincoln, was one of the many people that started from the bottom. He was raised in a log cabin built by his father, Thomas Lincoln. His first attempt at being in an
election for the lower house of the Illinois state legislature, failed, but he did not
give up there. He then attempted to run
for another Senate seat. “A house divided
against itself cannot stand… this
government cannot endure permanently
half slave and half free,” was one of his famous speeches to date at Springfield. He was finally elected in 1869. He knew that the United States
could not be half and half, which later caused a
Civil War. His greatest achievement was the liberation of the slaves. Abraham Lincoln is placed first due
to the fact that he completely changed
America. Even though Thomas
Jefferson was one of the first to fight
against slavery, he did not accomplish
anything. Lincoln on the other hand,
attempted to do whatever it took to
make the country a whole. The country at the time was a 50/50, which means half supported slavery and half did not. After he fought for slavery, America was not the same, but in a good way, for most.
PRESIDENTS CHIME IN
AMERICA'S ROLE?
I believe that America should be a supporting country for the countries around the world. Mainly because, George Washington could have attracted other countries due to his style of fighting. He could have helped fight in wars with his allies. Thomas Jefferson had the budget to help the fallen countries or the countries that were impacted economically. So Jefferson could have given the countries some money to start off. Abraham Lincoln helped America become unified, and could have helped other countries become unified also.
