America and Iran

The Iran Nuclear Deal, created in 2015, is a world involved agreement affecting most of the world powers such as the US, Iran, China, France, Russia, UK and Germany. The deal states how Iran limits the productivity of its nuclear program and the world powers ease sanctions placed on Iran as a consequence for its nuclear activities.

The US, however, is deciding to decertify the Iran deal, meaning it will no longer be a part of this world deal. Before it is completely decertified though, the US Congress will be given a 60 day window to decide whether to re-impose the sanctions, or to go forth with decertifying the deal.

President Trump has stated how certifying this deal is no longer in the US’s national security interest to keep in contact with an unpredictable country producing nuclear weapons. Many Republicans in Congress stated how they would not push to immediately re-impose sanctions because of a loss in trade partners.
