COLLAGEN FACTS If you’re experiencing soreness and pain in your joints, if you would like to reduce the look of lines and wrinkles in your face, or you would simply like to improve your overall health, a basic collagen supplement could be your answer. When choosing this supplement in your local supplement store, grocery store, or box store, make sure to look for the one that has the least additives as this diminishes the collagen quantity. You ideally would pick the one that only has 100% pure collagen on the label. Make sure to do your research on which brand you use. Now, with all this information, you are probably wondering which collagen supplement you should be taking. The answer depends on what type of symptoms you are having. My suggestion would be to go speak with your local doctor, naturopath, or supplement store owner and explain what is happening within your body and let them guide you down the path of choosing which form would best fit your daily needs. Collagen occurs throughout the body, but especially in the skin, bones, and connective tissues.
 - Some types of collagen fibrils, gram-for-gram, are stronger than steel. Collagen production declines with age and exposure to factors such as smoking and UV light. Collagen can be used in collagen dressings, to attract new skin cells to wound sites. Cosmetic lotions that claim to increase collagen levels are unlikely to do so, as collagen molecules are too large to be absorbed through the skin. References:
