MEET OUR NEWEST
IFBB PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE
JUDGES TAMI BECKERS & PAUL LAUZON
by
JUAN ROJAS
Judges, like competitors advance to different
levels through testing. Tami and Paul tested at the
Niagara Pro/Am this past fall. Under the guidance
of Steve Weinberger, Head Judge for the event they
earned the right to judge IFBB Profesiional League
events.
Most people feel that Judges are able to judge any
event, not true. Judges chosen to test for this level
have a great deal of experience at Regional and
National level events, have earned the respect of
their peers and have expressed a desire to excel in an
important part of competitive bodybuilding contests.

Tami: Bottom line is; train

the criteria for each specific
category and you have to be able
to cast your physique as closely
as possible to what the judges
are looking for.

it is always a pleasure seeing
you at CPA shows! Thank you
so much for taking the time to
speak with me today. How did
you get started in judging and
what is your favorite part about
it?
Tami: I started judging in 2009

My favorite part about judging?
I don’t think I have one favorite
part. I enjoy watching our
athletes evolve as competitors
and individuals through each
show they do. I enjoy being
a small part of that journey,
offering support, advice, and my
personal experience as a former
competitor. I get so much joy
Juan: With the Corona Virus
outbreak, what advice would
you give to competitors who
have been preparing for weeks
or months and are starting to
lose motivation as their show
has been cancelled or may be
postponed?
Tami: My advice would be this.
