For the past 3 years, he trained 5 days a week at the gym and began to get his mind healthy again. As we all well know, this sport is all mental, mind over matter, with that said, it lit a fire in Dion so big that took him to a whole new level. Seeing posters for the Atlantic Classic Championships in 2018, he decided to compete again. His goal to succeed was what he set his sights on. Taking his competitive path from the streets of the homeless to the bodybuilding stage was his sobriety to new and exciting things to come. Dion could write an entire book on his tormented life, but he’d rather enjoy his journey of faith and fitness daily. Every new challenge and every new contest brings him closer to continued success, proving to everyone that this sport saves lives. The past 4 years, Dion has been determined to build a clientele in the Miramichi, as well as online for his business Genetics Fitness Training. His mission is to help others battling and struggling with the same demons (whether it’s drug/alcohol addictions, weight problems, self image issues, whatever’s ailing them) to bring them one step closer to beating those demons and help them realize their own potential and their own successes.
