External weight... Sometimes it isn’t you that is the problem. It could be a family member, a friend, partner, you name it. This is so hard to come to terms with, especially if you care for that person(s). If they are not supporting your journey to a better version of you they may pose a threat to your success by putting foods, situations or words in front of you that can be debilitating to your success. You need to remember that most of the time, this actually is not intentional, it is a human desire to feel included and safe. When your partner feels like you are giving the gym or meal prep more attention than you do to them, they obviously will react in a negative way. They may use guilt or even negative words because they want to keep you close. I suggest when you feel this tension with family and/or friends you have an honest and open conversation around the importance of your health, fitness and life goals. Ask for their support, find unique ways to bond and connect with them that does not distract or hinder your goals. An example of this is working out together, or you could make time for fun outing that does not involve your fitness journey if that is a major sore spot for them. It is important to remind yourself that not everyone is on OR should be on your journey. That is unique to you! And remember, your MINDSET MATTERS
