SHAWNA MILLS Though he never competed, he knew a lot about it, from his own experience and reading a heck of a lot of information on the competitions. After the first competition, I knew right then and there that I had found my calling in life. I competed in a number of shows. Some I did really well, others not so much. But what I did learn from them was it changes who you are both mentally and physically. After years of competing I decided to start training women for shows. I love seeing my athletes on stage, showing off their hard work. I see my I was born an athlete. I was just 12 years- old when I ran in my first marathon. I have always excelled in the sports industry.  What I fell in love with and what I was good at was fitness. Fitness on every level. When I relocated to Ontario at the age of 18 years-old, I started my journey as a fitness/figure athlete. The first competition I did was back in 2002. My very first experience to say the least was memorable. Back then, we didn’t have posing coaches, not like we do today. It was was ex-husband who had trained me and really taught me a lot about the fitness industry. clients like paintings, or works of art! They start out on just a plain canvas with nothing on it and end up with so many different levels of beauty. Today I am proud to become a Ambassador for the Canadian Physique Alliance. I love what the CPA represents and how the organization helps both men and women excel physically and mentally!
