Eat healthy meals to control
stress. When you consume a lot of
processed products, you may be
filling up on calories, but you are
missing out on your nutritional
needs. Make sure your diet is
well-rounded with whole grains,
fresh produce, low-fat protein,
and plenty of water.
Practice mindfulness. When we
aren’t living in the moment, it’s
easier to get stressed out over
things you can’t control.
Mindfulness allows you to be in
the moment and deal with
problems as they come up.
Whenever you feel anxious, take
some deep breaths to bring
yourself back in the moment.

Among the most important self-
care practices for your mental
health is to always ask for help
when you need it. Don’t wait to
hit rock bottom before you talk to
your doctor or a mental
healthcare provider. While
exercise and stress management
are helpful, there’s nothing like
the support and care of a medical
professional.
