and will be your overall
winner. At the Canadian
Nationals, open bikini
division the top three
athletes were all within
three points of each
other which shows how
competitive this overall
was. Once the scores
were tabulated, Julia
Schroeder received the
lowest score and as a
result, was awarded the
IFBB Pro Card. I have a
received a number of
questions if the look that
Julia brought to the
stage was the look the
CPA is looking for in a
bikini champion. I will
reiterate that the look
the CPA is looking for is
that of the current
Olympia Champion
Angelica Teixeira.
Another question I
received quite often
from bikini athletes is
“What do I have to do to
beat the champion?” It’s
not a matter of beating
the champion in your
show, it’s a matter of
bringing your look in to
match that of the
Olympia champion. It’s
not how you can beat
the winner in your show,
it’s how close can you
come to the best in the
world. So don’t use the
competitors in your
show as your benchmark
for change, use the
Olympia Champion.
