Protein Blends
These are protein powder blends composed of many different types of protein sources
such as Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate, Egg White Protein, and Casein
Protein. The reason proteins would be blended is because our bodies absorb these
proteins differently and at different rates
Benefit: This is like a “time-released buffet” for your muscles.
Best for: People trying to gain weight and are adding shakes in
throughout the day for extra protein/calories, or those
trying to prevent muscle loss and cannot get in
enough whole food protein.
Labels will read: will say things such as “blend”, “fusion”, “extended release”, “XT”, or have a number in the
name such as “syntha 6”, “phase 8”.
