CHANGES Rebranded Canadian Live Music Association Launches National Safety Training Program for Venues Canada’s national live music association, formerly known as Music Canada Live, has taken on a new name and logo as it enters its fifth year of operations: the Canadian Live Music Association. In addition to the name change, Erin Benjamin, formerly the executive director, becomes the presi- dent and CEO (non-voting), which reflects her role in setting the strategic direction of the organization in tandem with the board of directors. Benjamin’s work will continue its focus on demonstrating the exponential value of live music for government and industry alike. Also, with its non-profit and advocacy partners and the Juno Host Committee, the Canadi- an Live Music Association is launching a new initiative called Raising the Bar (RTB) in London, ON, on March 4, 2019. The program is designed to deliver training and education to ensure safer spaces, harm reduction, and event safety in Canada’s live music industry.
