Spector NS Dimension Basses Spector Musical Instruments has announced an expansion of its NS Dimension Series of basses with the introduction of two new colour finishes , Black & Blue and Inferno Red , each featuring a high-gloss finish , and each available in both four- and fivestring models . Taking inspiration from Spector ’ s USA Series , the new colour options in the NS Dimension Series were chosen to highlight the grain pattern of the high- ly-figured woods . The NS Dimension Series reimagines Spector ’ s design with multi-scale construction and offers players enhanced playability and tonality . In addition to the multi- scale , neck-thru construction , NS Dimension models also feature a variety of premium tone woods and Fishman Fluence electronics . The fully-curved body is carved from lightweight swamp ash and features a highly-figured poplar burl top . The five-piece neck is constructed from maple and wenge for enhanced stability and eye-catching looks . The 24-fret wenge fingerboard also features illuminating side dots , allowing players to easily navigate the fingerboard .

MESA / Boogie Boogie Cabinet Series MESA / Boogie has announced the new Boogie Cabinet Series . The Boogie Cabinet Series dates back to the early 1970s when Randall Smith set out to fulfill player requests for extension cabinets matching their Mark I 1x12 and 1x15 open back combos . The compact size was originally determined by the combo ’ s dimensions ; however , as the Mark Series evolved and expanded , so did the extensions .
Designed with portability in mind , all MESA cabinet enclosures are crafted from void-free , marine-grade Baltic birch ply and fit with Celestion speakers . Super strong rabbet corners are glued and nailed , and speaker baffles are fitted with dado joint construction and braced . Grilles are wrapped around a separate grille board , not the baffle board . Grille material is made of twisted jute dipped in a special coating that filters top end for a sweeter response .
Avantone Pro BV-1 mk11 Condenser Microphone Avantone Pro has announced its BV-1 mkII tube-driven , large-diaphragm condenser microphone .
The BV-1 mkII serves as a replacement for the discontinued BV-1 . The mic features an output transformer custom-designed by Californian company CineMag , as well as an edge-terminated 34-mm ( AKG ) CK12-style capsule , giving this condenser microphone design a large bottom-end and a smooth yet airy top-end . The proximity effect lends itself to a wide sound that can add both body and presence to a vocal take . With the mic , Avantone Pro provides a hard-shell briefcase , a shock-mount , and a pop filter .
