liquid honey
dry sherry (or Chinese
cooking wine)
low-sodium soy sauce
finely grated gingerroot
(or 1/4 tsp. ground ginger)
1/2 tsp. chili sauce
1/4 tsp. chinese five-spice powder

fresh (or frozen, thawed)
large scallops (about 12 oz.)

bamboo skewers, 8 inch
(20 cm) length, soaked in
water for 10 minutes
1. Honey Marinade Combine the first
6 ingredients in large bowl.
2. Add scallops. Stir to coat. Cover.
Marinate in refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours,
stirring occasionally.

3. Thread 5 scallops onto each
skewer. Cook on greased electric grill
over medium heat for about 5 minutes,
turning occasionally, until scallops are
opaque.
