the project

There are many small and large details that
went into creating this distinguished and
gracious kitchen. The painted maple cabinets in
a soft white contrasted by a generous antiqued
grey island and pantry blend old world charm
with modern sensibilities.

my problem

Since this home was originally planned as a
“model home”, the challenge was to create
a concept that would appeal to a large
demographic (and the chef in all of us) while
keeping in mind that at some point this model
would eventually become someone’s home.

my solution

We created a warm and inviting breakfast bar
area made of American Cherry, and integrated
a table design with a quartz counter top. The
combination of a man-made solid quartz
surface alongside organic natural wood is
soothing and brings us back to simpler times.
The kitchen features clever pull-outs including
spice racks, a recycle station, magic corner
storage and integrated under-cabinet LED task
lighting.
