DAY 1 Fly to Calgary On arrival take a shuttle transfer to Banff .
DAYS 2-3 Banff
Two full days at leisure to discover the delights of this charming mountain town and the surrounding splendours of Banff National Park . For unforgettable bird ’ s eye views , hop on the Banff Gondola which will float you up Sulphur Mountain in an eight-minute ride . If you prefer firmer ground , why not hire a bike and go for a spin along some of Canada ’ s most scenic roads and trails or , if you prefer , take a stroll instead .
DAY 4 Banff / Lake Louise
Take a wander along Banff Avenue and Bear Street where you ’ ll discover numerous places to shop and browse . Later , take the shuttle to iconic Lake Louise , world-famous for its turquoise lakes , the Victoria Glacier , soaring mountain backdrop , palatial hotel , and incredible hiking .
DAY 5 Lake Louise / Jasper
Today is sure to be a real highlight of your holiday as you travel along Canada ’ s most scenic mountain roadway , the Icefields Parkway . This is the route to over one hundred visible glaciers , brilliantly-blue lakes and rushing waterfalls . A stop is included at the Columbia Icefield for a ride in an Ice Explorer to traverse the ancient Athabasca Glacier . There ’ s also time to experience the Glacier Skywalk , a glass-floored observation platform extending 98 feet out over the Sunwapta Valley . Continue onwards by road to Jasper .
DAY 6 Jasper
Originally a railway town , Jasper ’ s unpretentious smalltown charm has timeless appeal . Surrounded by towering mountains , crystalline lakes , and abundant wildlife , it ’ s little wonder the national park is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site . You ’ re free to explore as you choose and may want to book a ride on the Jasper SkyTram for stunning vistas . Alternatively , there are short loops to stroll , bike trails to follow and numerous spas should you feel in need of some pampering .

DAY 7 Jasper / Kamloops
Early this morning , transfer to the train station to board the Rocky Mountaineer train . As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains . Today ’ s highlights include Mount Robson , Pyramid Falls , the climb over Yellowhead Pass , and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops . You will arrive in Kamloops early evening where you will disembark and transfer to your hotel .
DAY 8 Kamloops / Vancouver
Transfer back to the Rocky Mountaineer and your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver . See again dramatic changes in scenery , from the desert-like environment of the interior , through winding river canyons and pristine forests , to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley . Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell ’ s Gate in the Fraser Canyon . Evening arrival in Vancouver where your rail journey ends and you transfer to your hotel .
DAYS 9-10 Vancouver
At leisure in this beautiful city . It ’ s a very walkable city with lots of sights and fascinating neighbourhoods to discover . Be sure to walk around Stanley Park , explore Chinatown and the Dr Sun Yat Sen Park , hop over to Granville Island for lunch at the public market , see the famous Vancouver steam clock in Gastown , and , if you like to shop , then Robson Street is your place .
DAY 11 Vancouver
All too soon the tour concludes as you make your way to the airport for your onward journey .
