For many of VIA Rail’ s routes a choice of travel classes are usually available, but do vary according to the train or route. Discover the difference:
Economy
In addition to your roomy seat and the friendly onboard atmosphere, you’ ll enjoy access to the service car where you can purchase a selection of meals, snacks and beverages. As night falls, recline your seat and the gentle motion of the train is sure to have you nodding off in no time.
Business Class
Treat yourself to a premium experience by upgrading to business class. Get your journey underway in style by relaxing in the Business lounge before departure, receive priority early boarding, comfortable ergonomic seats that are specially designed for long trips, additional baggage plus quality meals and beverage options.
Sleeper Plus
Highly recommended for an overnight journey, sleeper plus provides either a private cabin or semi-private berths. Also benefit from Business lounge access and priority boarding.
• Berth: In the daytime a wide couch style seat which faces another berth seat folds into a bed at night with curtains for privacy. Upper berths require the use of a ladder at night. Access to a washroom and shower facilities. Amenities are available onboard.
• Cabin for 1: A comfortable seat transforms into a bed, with private toilet, handbasin, access to washroom and shower, and overhead area for carryon size luggage.
• Cabins for 2: By day there are two sofas which convert to an upper and lower bed at night, private toilet, and hand basin, access to washroom and shower, limited space for luggage and a large window with blind. Amenities are supplied.
All meals are included and non-alcoholic beverages, with dining car access using a reservation system for lunch and dinner. There is scheduled or unrestricted access to the Park Car depending on season.
Prestige Class
This is train travel at its best and exclusively available on trips between Toronto and Vancouver. Each high-end spacious cabin is equipped with a modular leather sofa that can be transformed into a double bed for two by night, flat screen TV and a private washroom with shower. A personal concierge will be assigned to your cabin and will be happy to meet all of your needs while on board.
Prestige Sleeper Class guests receive access to the Business lounge at departure, priority boarding, all onboard meals plus alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and snacks. There is reserved seating in the Park Car, Panorama Car and Dining Car.
