Two full days at leisure to explore and sightsee as you choose. Within the town itself, there are ample shops to browse and enticing eateries when the need to refuel hits. Of course, no visit here would be complete without spending some time within the spectacular surrounds of Banff National Park. Activities here are numerous, whether you simply want to take leisurely strolls, stop to snap a memorable picture or, if you fancy something more strenuous, there is mountain biking, horse riding, rafting and more. For an aerial perspective of the town and Banff National Park, you’ ll want to hop on the Banff Gondola.
DAY 4 Banff / Rocky Mountaineer( Kamloops)
Early this morning, transfer to the rail station and board the Rocky Mountaineer. Your journey takes you through ever-changing scenery as you travel between the iconic glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes, through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the Interior. Today’ s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. On arrival in Kamloops transfer to your hotel.
DAY 5 Rocky Mountaineer( Kamloops)/ Vancouver
Rejoin the train early this morning and continue your journey west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’ s journey, you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Cascade and Coast Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley.
