On this legendary two day rail route travel through the iconic Spiral Tunnels, traverse the Continental Divide, and be inspired as you wind through mountain passes and dramatic canyons. As you depart from the beautiful coastal city of Vancouver tuck into a delicious breakfast whilst taking in the views throughout the Fraser Valley. From fertile greenery, the landscape transforms to the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains, along with the mighty Fraser River and the raging whitewater of Hell’ s Gate. During lunch, your Hosts entertain you with regional stories and later, you’ ll disembark the train in charming Kamloops. Reboard the train the following morning and wind your way eastward through the Shuswap region, with stunning lake views all the way. As the train ascends, you are surrounded by mountains that stretch up to the sky, along with memorable landmarks like Castle Mountain. All too soon your journey concludes in picture-perfect Lake Louise or Banff.

Opt for this two day journey and you’ ll discover it’ s non-stop stunning scenery! Head out of Vancouver and before too soon you are moving into the wilderness and the fertile farmlands of the Fraser Valley. As you sit back and enjoy both breakfast and lunch you’ ll notice the landscapes become more desert-like and a far cry from the coastal rainforest you left behind. Spend a comfortable night at a hotel in Kamloops and then rejoin the train in time for breakfast the following morning. Your senses are sure to be awakened, particularly when you spy the aptly named Pyramid Falls, along with mountains that stretch to the sky, so be sure to have your camera to hand. As you approach Jasper National Park, Canada’ s largest, you can’ t help but notice the magnificent Mount Robson, the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Jasper is your jumping off point and you’ ll definitely want a day or two to explore every corner of this quaint mountain town.

Witness true wilderness on this three day journey which departs from Vancouver and winds its way along Horseshoe Bay and the scenic fjords of Howe Sound. As you tuck into breakfast you should keep an eye on the window for stunning views of the surrounding mountains and sea then, as you pass Squamish, leave the ocean behind and find yourself amid the majestic Coast Mountains. As you overnight in Whistler, you will have plenty of time to unwind in this world-famous mountain resort. The next day, continue north from Whistler, following the Fraser River Valley through some of the most contrasting landscapes in Western Canada, where rushing rivers meet arid expanses. The route also takes you through the gold-flecked canyons that once drew wagons of gold prospectors and which have been the home to the region’ s Indigenous people for millennia. During the afternoon, towering mountains will catch your eye before you pull into Quesnel, which oozes rustic charm. On day three, continue your Jasper-bound journey as you traverse the wilds of Northern BC, travelling past serene lakes, rushing waterfalls and through increasingly mountainous terrain. Your Hosts will point out the most prominent peaks of the Rockies, including the highest, Mount Robson and, before you know it, you’ re arriving into Jasper.
