Course Name: Band I and II * Combo Elective Course *
Course Numbers: 5 3. 0 3 7 1 0 9 9( fall) 5 3. 0 3 7 2 0 9 9( spring)
Prerequisites: MS band experience for Intermediate Level & auditions for all other levels
Description: These courses provide opportunities to develop performance skills on a wind or percussion instrument. Emphasizes performance and production. May include analysis, historical and cultural influences, improvisation, and appreciation of music. Organizes objectives for self-paced progress. Stresses individual progress and group experiences. Intermediate Band students will choose both Intermediate course numbers.

Description: These courses provide opportunities to develop performance skills and knowledge in choral singing. Covers performance and production, analysis and theoretical studies, historical and cultural contributions and influences, creative aspects of music, and appreciation of music. Organizes objectives for self-paced progress. Stresses individual progress and group experiences. The Treble class is for females in the Beginning Chorus and Tenor / Bass is for makes in the Beginning Tenor-Bass Chorus. Students must choose both Chorus course numbers for Fall and Spring of the same class type.
Course Name: Orchestra I and II * Combo Elective Course *
Course Numbers: 5 3. 0 5 7 1 0 9 9( Intermediate- Fall) 5 3. 0 5 7 2 0 9 9( Intermediate- Spring)
Prerequisites: Preferred prior orchestra experience for Intermediate Level & auditions for all other levels
Description: These courses provide opportunities to develop performance skills and precision on orchestral stringed instruments. Emphasizes performance and production, analysis and theoretical studies, historical and cultural contributions and influences, creative aspects of music and appreciation of music. Organizes objectives for self-paced progress. Stresses individual progress and ensemble experiences. Intermediate Orchestra students will choose both Intermediate course numbers.
