HOW TO RUN

1. BE ELIGIBLE

Nominees and candidates for office shall meet the following qualifications and, if elected or appointed, maintain these qualifications throughout their term of office: shall have the permission of their custodial parent or legal guardian, local sponsor, and State Chair( s), as well as any other requirements defined by their State. shall be from a State JCL that did not hold the position in the previous year. shall have attended at least one previous NJCL convention. shall attend middle or high school( or equivalent) for the duration of the term. shall be enrolled in a classical / ancient studies, Greek, or Latin class at least half of the year during which the student’ s office is held, or have completed all classical / ancient studies, Greek, or Latin classes offered at the student’ s school. shall be the only candidate for any office from that student’ s State( the student belongs to the State of their local chapter, regardless of residence). shall be a member of a chapter and a State in good standing.
