Three issues ( Winter , Spring , and Summer ) are solo issues ; one issue ( Fall ) is produced in parallel with the previous or incoming editor . The editor is responsible for most of the aspects of the production process — from submission solicitation and preliminary planning to layout and content editing . Beyond the Torch itself , the duties of the editor include judging the publications contest and coordinating with editors across the nation .
