Weinstein JCC Summer Camps 2014
CAMP GANIM
LEADERSHIP TRAINING INSTITUTE
Camp Ganim offers opportunities for children ages 2-5 to interact with
nature and freely run, climb, dig, collect, pretend, take risks, create, and
safely explore sand, mud, flowers, insects and more! Add swimming, art,
water play, music, and caring counselors, and what a perfect summer
your child will have!
LTI is a two-week Specialty Camp designed for older campers embarking on a new stage of independence. These rising 8th and 9th graders
will have fun as they engage in volunteering, teambuilding exercises,
traveling and adventure. Campers will obtain skills necessary to become
effective leaders at home, school and in their community.
SPECIALTY CAMPS
Does your child dream of building a robot, riding a horse, learning to bake
or creating a Lego masterpiece? The Weinstein JCC Specialty Camps have
all that and more. These camps provide focused instruction on a single
activity and the result is lots of fun with a dash of learning mixed in!
CAMP HILBERT
Camp Hilbert is a safe, fun and nurturing environment where kids in
grades K-10 can come to explore the outdoors. From the morning flag
pole assembly to canoeing on beautiful Lake Rosalie, campers will enjoy a
wide range of activities led by trained specialists and designed to provide
an experience unlike any other. Located in Goochland County, our
breathtaking 110-acre site is a perfect day camp setting. Let your children
have the summer of a lifetime...and we’re sorry if they come home a little
bit muddy!
VOICES TOGETHER
Voices Together is a safe and structured day camp for children with
Autism Spectrum Disorders. Young campers participate in both indoor
and outdoor activities that keep them engaged and entertained. Campers
enjoy games, art, music, swimming and water play each day. The older
campers take advantage of all Richmond has to offer with daily trips
around the city. The professional staff and teen volunteers make this an
experience your child will not forget!
GANIM VOLUNTEER CORPS
Ganim Volunteer Corps is designed to help participants meet their
school’s community service requirements while still having an exciting,
fun and meaningful summer experience. Each participant will be
placed in a Camp Ganim group in the morning to assist the counselors
and will have the opportunity to learn valuable skills working with
young campers. For those who desire a full-day GVC option, structured
afternoon activities at the Weinstein JCC take place. Participants must
complete a GVC application, and acceptance is determined by the
Camp Ganim Director.
