Create Em: Minecraft Makers( 3rd-8th) Week 3: July 3-7( No camp July 4) Instructor: Tech Em Studios Students will learn about 3D design and programming using Minecraft as the medium. Students will materialize their Minecraft designs into a printable 3D object to take home and share with friends and family! Code Em: Intro to Coding( 3rd-8th) Week 10: August 21-25 Instructor: Tech Em Studios Students will gain or expand their coding knowledge by using visual-based languages and advance to a text-based language, Python. Students will better understand computer science and apply related skills such as logic, critical thinking, problem solving, testing, design, and building to create a software project. Game Em: Python Game Design( 3rd-8th) Week 8: August 7-11 Instructor: Tech Em Studios Students will expand their coding knowledge through the Python programming language to create video games using Pygame modules. Students will the learn essentials of computer science, programming, and design thinking, a valuable tool that applies a user-centered approach to design games! Mad Science: Super Duper Science Sampler( 1st-5th) Week 10: August 21-25 This camp has so much, it’ s Super Duper! Mining and Crafting is the best way to explore our earth. Pan for minerals, create volcanos, and more!“ See” what the deal is with optics while making a kaleidoscope, and create a sun print in a diazzo chamber. Blast off to space as you launch rockets and build your own to take home. How does gravity help us get to other planets? Jump right into the science behind sports and see how teamwork and a strong understanding of your balance help you win the game. Arrive at camp to find a real crime scene surrounded by crime scene tape and use forensic science to solve who is trying to ruin your ice cream party. Mad Science: Crazy Chemworks( 1st-5th) Week 11: August 28-September 1 Shake up a flask of fun in the lab and become a junior chemist! Kids will learn and apply the concepts, tools and techniques of real chemists. Learn to recognize chemical reactions and mix up a few reactive ingredients for some sensational results. Check out the colors of chemistry with the power of pH paper and create a stopper-popping reaction. Probe the properties of light and discover some unusual applications of glowin-the-dark technology, learn about stages of matter with dry ice, and did we mention... Slime Olympics? YES!!! Super Sleuths!( 3rd-6th) Week 9: August 14-18 Instructor: Little Scholars Get out your magnifying glasses and detective hat as we have clues to decipher and crimes to solve. We’ ll put our critical thinking skills and STEM knowledge to the test and get to the bottom of mysteries by learning the tricks real investigators use to solve cases. While experimenting with simple detection techniques, reasoning skills will grow and your problem solving skills will become better than CSI agents. Full Day: $ 320M /$ 370NM Half Day: $ 250M /$ 300NM

Kids’ Place Camp is an exciting two weeks of age-appropriate, adventurous and exciting activities for campers before they head back to school. K-2 will experience fun with in-house special appearances and programs. 3rd – middle school kids will venture on an occasional field trip, enjoy special activities and programs as they close out the summer and head back to school. This is a high energy fast-paced camp and a blast for all ages.
At Kids’ Place Camp, we make summer last just a little longer and also explore the best Richmond has to offer. In addition to the travel, kids swim daily, have cooking class, arts and crafts, music, gym and more!( Full day camp) Cost Per Week: $ 310M /$ 360NM
