Super Genius Edition (4-6) HEALTH/FITNESS/COOKING NEW ! Week 3: June 29-July 2 Instructor: Mad Science This camp is so awesome it's Super Genius! Campers will learn about cells and DNA during Cell City. But look out...some of those might mutate during camp and some campers may turn into zombies by the end of the day! But it doesn't end there; campers will learn electroplating and other reactive chemical experiments during Chemical Counting. Campers will spend two days exploring amusement park science which will include building their own custom designed roller coaster to take home at the end of the camp. Campers then take their knowledge of mechanical marvels to new levels in a room sized Rube Goldberg challenge! Full Day: $300M/ $355NM Half Day: $230M/ $280 NM 3D Printing with Tech Em Studios (K-8) NEW ! Week 6: July 20-24 If you can think it, we can print it! Spend the week learning 3-D design on tablet-oriented artistic CAD (computer-aided design) apps. Leave camp with at least two 3-D objects that you will create, customize, print, and then paint/color. See your imagination come to life! Full Day: $350M/ $400NM Half Day: $280M/ $330NM 16 COMMUNITY SERVICE Balanced Health & Fitness (3-7) Leadership Travel Institute (8-9) Week 10: August 17-21 Instructor: Wellness Coach Allison Snyder This camp motivates and helps ‘tweens and teens achieve health and fitness success and includes before and after fitness assessments, nutrition awareness, cardio and strength training, and core development. Campers set realistic goals before the program begins and incentive prizes are given to those who reach them! Afternoons include sample group fitness classes such as Zumba, Yoga, Pilates and Cycle. $330M/ $380NM Chocolate Adventure (K-5) Week 7: July 27-31 NEW Instructor: Young Chefs Academy ! C-H-O-C-O-L-A-T-E, need we say more? We will bake, stir drizzle and dip our way to chocolaty treats and surprises. Here’s a ‘taste’ of what’s in store: Chocolate Ravioli, Chocolate Silk Pie, White Chocolate Fondue and “Uber” Fudgy Cake. Week 2: June 22-26 Instructor: Little Scholars Visit Italy and make tiramisu, sail to Mexico and make salsa, and then cruise to a new culinary destination like France to make crepes. Our chefs will cook and craft the week away with a very special cookbook as a part of their travel souvenirs. Full Day: $300M/ $355NM Half Day: $230M/ $280NM Weeks 9 & 10: August 10-21 Staff: LaVenus Harried and Britt Sain LTI is two weeks of travel, service, adventure, learning, fun and growth that builds the leadership capabilities of older campers. Skill development and personal growth are the focus while campers scuba dive, volunteer for several organizations, travel to North Carolina, ride the tallest and fastest roller coaster on the continent, go whitewater rafting, get CPR and First Aid certified, challenge themselves on a high ropes course, and participate in a variety of leadership-based workshops and activities. Cost: $750M/ $825NM Ganim Volunteer Corps (7-12) Weeks 1-8: June 15-August 7 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. GVC is designed to help participants meet their school's community service requirements while still having an exciting, fun and meaningful time at camp. Each participant will be placed in a Camp Ganim group to assist the counselors and will have the opportunity to learn valuable skills working with young campers. Participants will need to fill out a GVC application and acceptance is determined by the Camp Ganim Director.
